Description

Eezi-Awn created a high-quality, lightweight Aluminum fridge slide with a double-roller bearing, Lock-Out slide action. The roller bearings are located underneath the top tray, making the Shuttle one of the lowest profile fridges slides on the market.  It's aluminum construction makes it one of the lightest weight slides as well.  The Shuttle is under 20 pounds. Half the weight of some slides on the market today.  The top tray is completely flat on top, instead of a recessed tray between two drawer slides.  It includes tie-down straps and multiple attachment points for additional security. The Shuttle will hold most fridges 50 Liters and smaller.
Includes two tie-down straps and an optional National Luna Base Plate mounting kit is available.

Great materials, but it doesn't roll on the rollers, and the latch is a two hand operation to pull the slide out.

The shuttle uses custom designed full pull out slides made from that painted aluminum extrusion and ball bearings as rollers. It should work. Maybe it is the paint applied to all the mating surfaces, or maybe the bearings are just a wee bit too small. Either way, the shuttle does not act like a drawer on ball bearing rollers. Instead it acts like a drawer sliding on painted aluminum slides without any ball bearing rollers. My wife probably won't be able to operate the slide with a loaded fridge on it.

The other negative is the handle has been changed from the photo. It now is like a toolbox drawer handle, except in reverse. You push the handle down to unlatch. You can't even get your fingers under the handle to pull once you push it down. I have to push the handle down with one hand and then pull on the webbing straps with the other hand to get it to come out. Once the slide is about half way out, you really need to support the full fridge weight as you pull to keep is coming out without too much drag.

They also deleted the handy rubber pads seen in the photo. You'll need those and you'll have to fashion those on your own.

Other than the low profile, flat top, and quality materials, the shuttle has nothing going for it and really shouldn't be offered for sale in the current configuration. Too bad, I wanted that low profile to work.
