Description
The Jerry Can Mount is an ingenious way to mount your Jerry Can to your K9 Roof Rack System. Made from powder-coated steel, this mount comes in two models. One is designed to carry one 5 gallon (20 L) Jerry Can (not included) and the other is designed to carry two 5 gallon Jerry Cans. Both collapse flat when not in use. The hinged bracket clamps down securely with a locking mechanism that ensures no one can siphon your gas.

I went with the double Jerry mount. First trip with the set up on was a really rough one. Everything worked perfectly! I read the other reviews before I bought this set up. Because of the other reviews, I was hesitant. After working though the details with the Equipt team I went ahead and could not be happier.

The cans fit well in the Mount. They don’t rattle around very much. There is padding on the sides/bottom where the cans sit and on the clamping pieces. Only 4 stars because the finish of the Mount does scratch easily but I expected that. It now lives on top of my truck after all. Easily taken care of with black Rustoleum.

It's too bad you guys deleted my original, honest review rather than reach out with some advice or assistance with this Jerry Can Mount.
This single can mount did not work well with my new Wavian Jerry Can. It does not hold it tight and therefore scratches the can right away. It's just a jerry can, but I would rather have the paint intact to prevent rust.
The primary problem with this product is that the short swinging arm does not actually fit anywhere. It just moves up and down. It does not stay in place over the cap as seen in the product photos. It also does not fit over the handles to secure the can.
I don't believe the can will fall out of the mount, despite this problem, but it will shift and vibrate.

I love my K9 rack and was excited about this accessory for mounting my new Wavian gas can. Unfortunately, it does not fit very well. I took a trip to Big Bend Ranch State Park in Texas and needed to carry extra gas for long stretches without gas stations.
When I first put the Wavian jerry can in the mount it was very tight. I could barely close the swinging supports that lock around the can. After some driving on trail (with washboards), it had loosened up so much that the can was all scratched to hell because it became so loose. The swinging arm that covers the gas can opening just slides down and does not cover the opening. The can also slides a little forward and back in the mount. I knew the powder coat would eventually get scratched up no matter what, but I did not expect the mount to gouge and scar it so badly. Now I need to fight the can from rusting.
I did not mount the can with the spout that comes with the Wavian can because I had a feeling it would fall off anyway.
Long story short, this does not fit well with Wavian 20L jerry cans. It may work well with other brands. I may try to put some rubber on the mount to make the fit better for my can.
