National Luna Legacy Smart QC Fridge
Meet the new lineup in the National Luna fridge line. The smart QC. The new Quick Change (QC) faceplate location: You can now change the location of the faceplate from the front of the unit to the end of the unit. USB Charge Ports: 2 USB charge ports have been added to the power supply area, for charging phones/tablets/etc. Cigar Lighter Male Plug: New National Luna proprietary Cigar Lighter Male Plug is now supplied on the end of the power cord. The plug now supports 12 AWG wires and has increased surface area on contacts.

Hi, I'm Paul with Equipt Expedition Outfitters, and today I want to talk to you all about the latest evolution of the National Luna fridges. It's the Legacy Smart QC fridge. It's brand new to the market for us, and what they mean by QC is that you can quickly change the display from being on the front of the fridge to being on the side. In just a matter of four screws removal, you can put a screen here and move it right across there.
The other thing that I really like is they've added a couple of USB-A ports right into the power supply, so now you can charge your accessories, phones, and otherwise right off of the fridge face. It's a wonderful feature they've added.
The last thing that I really like about what they've done is, up to now, the National Luna has been using the Hella or DIN style plug. The reason they did that was several-fold. One, it could manage a 12-gauge or what they call a four-millimeter squared cable in that plug, and it had a lot of copper contact. What they've done now is they've developed their own cigarette lighter plug. It's the first on the market that we could find that could manage that gauge of wire, the 12-gauge wire. They also increased the size of the clips on the side of the cigarette lighter plug so that it can manage the current properly to your fridge. Up to this point, the biggest gauge you could get into a cigarette lighter plug was 14-gauge, and it was slightly smaller than the fridge needed to run efficiently. They've upgraded this with their own design.
